I don't think I have ever made a beauty post on this blog. Which is probably because I don't usually use a lot of makeup on an daily basis. My everyday makeup consists of a winged black eyeliner and some lipbalm.
However, I love buying new makeup and experimenting with it, even though in the end I just stick to my black eyeliner.
When I was in Paris, I bought a few makeup products and tools and I finally know how to do a real smocky eye which is certainly going to be the subjet of a tutorial very soon. Until then, I just wanted to show you a few of my favorite parisian beauty related purchases and share with you my favourite beginner budget-friendly makeup brands.
xx,
M
For some reason, I've been loving orange shades lately.

I'm a big fan of the H&M makeup. It's not expensive which allows me to experiment without splurging in something I might end up not using. Plus it's usually quite a good quality.
Sparkly gold eyeliner from H&M.
Yves Rocher is also a great brand for a makeup beginner like me. Quite affordable and most importantly: made out of natural products!
Turquoise liner and clear lipgloss (number 01) by Yves Rocher.
There is also Kiko, which is a brand I discovered a little while ago on Youtube. I finally got a chance to try out their products during my last stay in Paris, since they have opened a store there. They make really good products for a good price.
Beige stick eyeshadow by Kiko (number 28).
The last brand I want to introduce you to in this post is Flormar. This is a really good brand with a variety of products and prices.
Terracota blush-on (number 46) by Flormar.
The grey eyeshadow that you see on the picture is really good. It's very pigmented and can be used both wet and dry.
Water eyeshadow (number 228) and french manicure nailpolish by Kiko.
Finally, while visiting the Château de Versailles, I couldn't help a little stop at the souvenir shop and got myself a miniature of the Reverence perfume which seriously smells amazingly good!
