FREE AT LAST!

I have finally finished the first part of my exams last Monday and it feels great to know that I have NOTHING to do for a week. Which means that I will finally get to enjoy the sun, go to the beach with friends, have lots of night outs as well and make other fun and carefree plans! I already have so many in mind...

So I kind of started celebrating in advance since I spent last Sunday with my family (finally) exploring the Oudaya in Rabat. For someone who's spent two years in this city it's kind of weird to only go there a few weeks before leaving it! But I did go and that's all that matters 'cause it has seriously been ages since I wanted to visit that place. I still feel like I need to go back because there are so many things to see (and to photograph) and one day was just not enough.

HALLELUJAH!

Do you know how happy I can be when I can manage to make a video without having the software crashing in the process??!!

It's like a miracle! I ALWAYS have to start over when I'm making a video because something ALWAYS has to go wrong just like 5 minutes before I'm completely done.

But yesterday was different. Yesterday everything worked just fine! And for the first time in ages I got a video that is about 98% like what I had in mind! It's ridiculous how happy this is actually making me.

Anyway, I've had this video in my mind ever since last August, when I went to Paris and my sister and I shot some clips. I couldn't find the time to put it together but I have to admit that the real reason is that I was still pretty traumatized by my last video experience (spending hours making something that your computer will in the end REFUSE to save is hard to take. Really hard.).

By the way, do you guys like making videos too? If yes, I would love to know what kind of softwares you use, that would help me a lot for my future video posts!

I just arrived to Fes yesterday.

I'm gonna stay here for a couple of days before I go back to Rabat on Wednesday, with school resuming, and by school I mean effing exams...

New in: Moroccan bags and more

The other day, my sister and I went with a friend to visit one of my favourite places here in Casablanca : Bab Marrakesh.

We basically played tourists, took pictures and visited all the shops there. So it's no surprise that I came back home with yet another pair of Moroccan bags!

I'll be sharing pictures of our tourist-y activities later...

[Nail DIY] Mondrian on my nails

I guess you guys all know Mondrian, don't you? And the Yves Saint Laurent (or should I start saying Saint Laurent?) dresses with the famous Mondrian paintings on them.

Well today I thought I'd try to make a Mondrian nail design. And I quite like how it turned out.

It's super easy so if you want to do it, here is what you will need:

*Black, yellow, red and blue nailpolish

*A clear topcoat

*A bobby pin (or nail art brushes if you have them)

*Cotton buds and nailpolish remover to rectify any mistake

Start by painting your nails white.

Then, using your bobby pin, dip it into black polish and randomly draw vertical and horizontal lines on your nail.

It's okay if you have polish on your skin, you can remove that later.

Using your bobby pin again, dip into the different colors and fill in random squares. On this nail I used red yellow and blue but you can also fill some squares with black polish just like Mondrian did on his paintings.
