Flashback to Nice, France

It is so good to be back! There is so much we need to catch up on though.

Let's start from the begining shall we?

As you know, two years ago I used to live in France. Some of my best friends lived in the same city as me but after one year, they moved to the beautiful Nice.

These pictures date back to the first days of October 2014 when I went to visit one of them. Despite the season at that time of the year, the weather was still lovely and warm. My friend and I even got to swim in the ocean on a whim haha.

I appologize for the quality of these pictures which is clearly not the best but the next posts will be much better. You just wait and see... ;)

Exploring Lille

Here are a few more pictures from Lille, taken while I was exploring the city (and discovering some nice spots!). Big ups to my mom for the photography, it was her first time doing this for the blog!

I wanted to tell you guys a huge Thank You for giving me your opinion about my little dilemma (here) and offering me some precious advice! I loved reading your comments and you've helped me a lot trough making a decision! It turns out that the trip I was telling you about might end up being in France instead of Italy, but I think it might be a good idea not to miss it anyway...

On other news, I am very excited to introduce you the new Serial Shopper very soon!! After MONTHS working on the new design, I can finally reveal it to you in the upcoming days!! There is still a lot to be done but the general look of the new blog is almost ready, so I'm gonna show it to you and keep working on the rest of the design as we go along. I really hope you will like it!

In Lille, France: the hotel room

I arrived to Lille last Sunday and I'm leaving it tomorrow. This was my first time in this city and I have to say that I love it here! Especially the Vieux Lille (old city center) which architecture is so stunning and luxurious.

When I see beautiful old buildings, I can't help imagining how it must have been back in the days, how people used to dress and what their lifestyle was like... And I basically start daydreaming about a life that I would have loved to have. The best part about Lille - the current Lille - is its people. They are all so nice and welcoming, more than in any other french city that I have been to so far!

Lille is so charming...

My sister is skilled for many things but definitely not photography.

Imagine me, all excited to go visit the Opéra Garnier in Paris, not only because the place is beautiful and full of things to discover and learn from, but also because it could work as a perfect backdrop for outfit pictures.

And so, I naturally handed the camera to my sister, already thinking about how beautiful the next pictures on the blog could be...

That was until I came back home and discovered that... half of the pictures are blurry.

Good job sis'!

Anyway, let's stop complaining shall we? I still wanted to show you all the beauty of the place so I tried to use the pictures that were not so bad and fixed them a little bit. I hope you don't mind a slightly blurry post...

To the question "flats or heels?" I would always answer heels, yet lately I've been surprisingly apreciating the comfort of flats. The thing is, to me flats are too basic and unless they have a special design or color, I would never be attracted to them. I also used to think that what works best for my bodyshape, wether I am barelegged or wearing pants, are heels and always heels. Especially with a midi skirt!

Well now I think that I've just found my perfect flattering flats...

As mentioned on the title, these pictures were taken at the Château de Versailles. It's funny how after all the times that I went to Paris, this is actually the first time that I managed to visit the Château! And I'm still planning to go back on my next trip there, because there is still so much to see!

I'm not gonna spend hours telling you how beautiful the place is and how much I fell in love with everything, the pictures speak for themselves right?
